| Psycho II was shot on the backlot of Universal Studios on Stage 24 from June 30th, 1982 to August, 1982. Way before the cameras rolled, the movie was intended to be a made-for-cable production. That was until Anthony Perkins read Tom Holland's screenplay and signed on to do the project. The movie reunited Alfred Hitchcock's Assistant Director Hilton A. Green with Perkins and original cast member Vera Miles. The film opened on Friday, June 3rd, 1983 to decent reviews and became one of the highest grossing films of the summer next to Return of the Jedi. Norman Bates was back and better than ever. |
