
Only a handful of people at the time of construction knew that a Psycho prequel/sequel was going to be shot at the studio. Many Psycho IV crew we spoke with said the problem they had with shooting on the Florida location had to do with the proximity to the E.T. attraction and Hard Rock Cafe Restaurant. From certain vantage points, the camera would have picked up these other locations so Director of Photography Rodney Charters had the challenge of making sure they avoided extreme wide angles, especially shooting down from the hill - which everyone remembers was a familiar shot in all previous Psycho films.
